Google Fonts delivers free, open-source fonts to billions of pages across the web. In recent years Google has improved the quality of this collection, and added support for more and more languages. In 2018 they explored, validated, and shipped a data-driven CSS-only solution for CJK fonts, starting with Korean. This talk will cover modern and contemporary type culture of Hangul in Korea and reveal the development and impact of the Korean-fonts showcase website, <a href="http://googlefonts.github.io/korean." target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">googlefonts.github.io/korean.</a>
